We had such a great week! I just want to thank everyone who was a part of making our first FWEDNESDAY a success! By now, you have probably heard the story. I challenged our students to invite their friends and set a goal of 42 students. They responded with 48 students - 17 of those were visitors! So, I had to fulfill my end of the bargain by doing something selected by the students - sing the national anthem at the ballgame this past Friday! I would do it again because our students reached out to others so we could share Christ with them. It was an awesome night from Team 4/5 preparing the food, to the adults actively engaging in conversation with the students, to the devotional and more!
Sunday morning, I was blessed with the opportunity to share my vision for Youth Ministry. What that entails, is the need for everyone to play a role in our ministry. From the oldest to the youngest, we need each other. We all have a role to play, even if it all you can do is pray for our students daily. We are blessed at Rogersville to have so many children and young families, which means we need to do our part to impact our children in a positive spiritual direction.
Sunday Evening, the RYG kids went to the pumpkin patch for a devotional and fun on the farm! We had 85 adults and kids in attendance. It was a great time of fellowship and growth while spending the evening at The Belue Place Pumpkin Patch in the corn maze, on hayrides, the cow train, and other activities. Thank you to Brock Owen for the devotional thought and to Derek Pigg for singing with the kids. It was a great evening!
