RYG News (09.13.16)

GREAT NEWS! This morning at LCHS we had 22 students who came to our first FCA devotional. 22 students who showed interest in committing to the cause of Christ on their campus and I know God will continue to bless this ministry that we seek to be a part of. Out of those 22, 19 students took a student leadership application and showed interest in being a Christian leader not only in FCA but the campus, also. I ask for your prayers as we look for opportunities to share the gospel in our schools.

Community News: Jace Lane has been elected to the Homecoming Court at Lexington High School. Homecoming is Friday, October 7th.

Here is what we've got going this week:

WEDNESDAY: The 7-12 Grade class will finish up our series on being a unified family. We have a surprise for Wednesday, so you don't want to miss it at 7pm!

5TH QUARTER: We are hosting the 5th Quarter after the LCHS v. Clements game. Invite a friend and walk across the street after the game for FREE food, music, and more! Let's celebrate the first home game together! TEAM 4/5 will bring drinks and TEAM 8/10 will bring desserts. Please have all items to the annex by WEDNESDAY.

FCA DEVOTIONAL (Every Tuesday): Every Tuesday at 7:30am in the A/V Room we will have a FCA Devotional at LCHS. This is open to everyone, not just athletes. You can turn in your student leadership application to myself or Coach Newton or bring it to the next devotional! Invite a friend! If everyone invited ONE person, we could have 44 at the next meeting! This is open to all students 7th grade and up. All LCHS teachers and coaches are encouraged to attend, as well.

FWEDNESDAY (Sept. 28): You maybe wondering what FWEDNESDAY is all about. Let me take a moment to tell you about this wonderful outreach opportunity. Once a quarter, we will encourage our students to invite their friends for a evening of food and worship. A FREE meal will be served at 6:15pm by one of our ONE teams followed by a student led devotional. We are praying that this will be a wonderful outreach tool for our students as we try to reach others for the cause of Christ.

Have a great week!
